Description: The Archimedes Center for Healthcare and Device Security at Northeastern University is seeking a Web Engineer to lead the redesign and optimization of our research website using HubSpot CMS.
This short-term position offers the opportunity to shape the online presence of a globally recognized research center focused on medical device cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Redesign and rebuild ~30 pages on HubSpot CMS
- Develop responsive, accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA) templates and modules
- Optimize site speed, SEO, and mobile usability
- Integrate existing media (videos, graphics)
- Collaborate with the Archimedes and College of Engineering communication teams
- Conduct QA and support testing, launch, and post-launch fixes
Qualifications:
- Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HubL)
- Prior experience with HubSpot CMS required
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and responsive design
- Familiarity with research or academic websites is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and self-management skills
